We are dedicated to excellence in the arts as a means of worshiping God.
Worship Arts includes ministries that serve in Sunday worship as well as building relationships among artists in Berkeley and Oakland.
Music: Join with other artists to lead our congregation in worship through voice or instrument.
A/V: Support our worship services and special events by setting up and breaking down equipment, and in live sound and graphics operation.
Worship Guild: Members of Christ Church are encouraged to participate in worship through reading Scripture, leading prayers, and serving the Lord’s Supper during our worship services.
If you are interested in participating in WorshipArts - either getting connected to the Artist Community, or serving on Sundays (Worship Team, Audio/Visual, Worship Guild), please contact Eric Gilbert on the Online Community Network, or at email@example.com

Christ Church relys on the talents of many Bay Area skilled artists and muscians.
Guitar, Vocals, Wind Instruments
Jeff Rolka is a Bay Area musician and music teacher who when not at Christ Church can be found teaching voice lessons in his San Francisco studio (www.voicelessonssf.com) or in the recording studio working on his next release. Jeff's music (www.jeffrolka.com) is on iTunes, Spotfiy, and virtually every other online distributor as well as being played on the Disney Channel, CNBC, and select online and on air radio station in the U.S., Spain, Central and Eastern Europe. Jeff began playing at Christ Church shortly after its 2006 launch. He coordinated the music and lead rehearsals for 2+ years until 2009.
Jeff plays regularly at both Christ Church sites, and normally plays electric and acoustic guitar, although he often sits in on bass, sax, and harmonica (but not all at the same time). He has even been known to play keys once in awhile.
Pei-Chung Ting first moved to the Bay Area in 1982 and settled down in Albany after studying Architecture at UC Berkeley in 1999. He brings a unique mixture of arts and technical capabilities to the Christian community. In collaboration with Novo Group, he has installed audio and broadcast video systems in churches throughout the Bay Area including Grace Cathedral, Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley, and the current system in the Christ Church sanctuary.
Through his connections in the Bay Area music community, he was asked to assist as a bass player for the music team at Christ Church at its Berkeley launch in 2006, and has played mainly at the Berkeley site ever since.
Upright and Electric Bass
Peter Canton is 31 years old and has been playing the bass for 22 years. Current projects include Hot Einstein, Shana Morrison, the Chris Cobb Band, and others. Peter has shared both the stage and or studio with Ice-T, Karl Perazzo, Bob Weir, Bill watrous, Karl Denson, Luce, Stanton Moore, and many others. He firmly feels the key to being a solid player are the 3 t’s: time, taste, and tone.
Peter plays professionally all over the Bay Area, and has played at Christ Church since 2008.
Keyboard and Piano
Justus Dobrin is a keyboardist, composer and producer originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. An avid lover of music since his childhood, Justus began playing piano at the age of seven. He continued pursuing music throughout his young adult life then went on to complete his studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. After finishing his academic work in composition, arranging and performance Justus returned to his native Bay Area and concentrated on recording and engineering (www.9dragonsstudios.com). He currently composes for network television programs and commercials, and has played with members of No Doubt, Bonnie Raitt, The Doobie Brothers, and Tower of Power. Justus lives in El Cerrito, CA with his wife and their beloved dog, Fritz.
He has played keyboards at Christ Church since 2007, and has additionally served as Berkeley site director (assisting Eric with rehearsals, scheduling, instrument maintenance, building drum baffles, and other such fun things) since 2010.
