Baptism & Membership
Belonging. Believing. Becoming.
Baptism and church membership go together. Baptism signifies your union with Christ and membership in his Church. Church membership signifies your commitment to live out your baptism with the support and accountability of Christ Church.
Perhaps you have already been baptized, or perhaps you would like to be baptized. In either case, we invite you to become a member of Christ Church by making or renewing your baptismal vows in our local congregation. To be a baptized member of Christ Church is to live out your commitment to Christ with us by participating in the mission and vision of our church to bless the community, the city, and the world.
If you have participated in the Newcomer Meal and Conversation and would like to set up a pastoral Q & A to talk about baptism and/or membership, please contact anna@christchurcheastbay.org.
Baptismal preparation and dates
-
We require all adults who are being baptized or parents of those being baptized to meet with a pastor at least twice before the baptism.
-
It is our practice to baptize on specific dates throughout the year, usually quarterly.
