Neighborhood Parishes

At Christ Church, we believe community plays a central role in God's plan to renew the earth.

  1. Followers of Jesus need each other to learn and grow.
  2. We're the means by which God shows His love to all people.

In a busy, transient world, the best way to form and join community like that is with people right around us: those in our neighborhoods. Thus, Monday-through-Saturday community at Christ Church happens primarily in midsize groups we call neighborhood parishes.

What Parishes Look Like

  • Size: 15-25 adults plus kids who live near each other and want to grow deeper in relationship with Christ and do good for their neighborhood.
  • Structure: Parishes may meet for monthly dinners, small-group studies, periodic picnics or other occasional events. Each parish finds its own rhythm.
  • Service: All parishes take an active role in serving each other and their communities, both through Days of Peace and occasional needs for meals or rides to church.
  • Communication: Many parishes use the online community to plan events and share needs. Once you find your local parish, ask how they stay in touch throughout the week.
